We love to meet you when we are at the stand and we always get some good questions. Thank you for stopping by - Some of the things we often get asked about are:
What's inside?
Inside our figures you will find carded wool throughout, we rarely use fittings. Some people use styrofoam, but we think it's best with wool, styrofoam can also easily lead to broken needles. And yarn? No thanks! We stick to wool throughout.
How long does it take to make a figure?
Well, often somewhere between 5 and 15 hours, depending on how detailed and large the figure is. Sometimes it goes like a dream, other times it feels like we filter the same face for ages and never get satisfied. In addition, there is work with e.g. scarves, shawls, bags, sacks, sledge boards, etc. Some figures take much longer than 15 hours, but none take less than 5 hours.
What are the eyes made of?
The eyes are also made of wool, carded wool or merino tops. We spend a lot of time here, a good look can bring life to a figure, so we take our time with these small but important details.
