Useful tools for needle felting
When needle felting, you will need various felting needles, needle holders and spare needles, but some extra tools can be helpful. You should have these nearby:
- Awl - perfect for making holes in your work, making holes to attach pipe cleaners you use for tails or antennae/feelers for bumblebees/bees/moose
- Measuring tape - especially if you are a beginner and will be following one of our recipes
- Wire cutters - handy for cutting steel wire/pipe cleaner for fixtures
- Pliers - bend the steel wire or grab the wool to pull it out if you have felted too far in, pull out carefully
- Scissors - Always nice to have
- Tweezers - to remove grass/moss from the wool, wool is a natural material and may have some debris in it.
- Sewing needle (preferably a long doll needle) - for attaching tails, loops, etc.
- Plaster . Nice to have at home anyway.
